Search
Being found counts as much as being seen.
Search is not added at the end, once everything is built. It is laid down from the design onwards: structure, speed, content, then month-by-month tracking.
What I check
Twelve points on every page, checked by hand and re-measured after each delivery. These are not promises: they are checks that either pass or fail.
- Page title, present and correctly sized
- Meta description, present and correctly sized
- One H1 per page, and a coherent heading hierarchy
- Canonical tag, to prevent duplicate content
- Mobile viewport declared
- Page language declared, and hreflang between your versions
- Open Graph, for previews on WhatsApp and social networks
- Twitter card
- Structured data, so Google understands your business
- Alt attribute on every image
- robots.txt reachable and coherent
- Sitemap up to date and submitted
Measurements
Sites that pass the checks.
These scores come from Lighthouse, Google's audit tool. They are measured on the live sites, not claimed. You can verify them yourself.
A performance score varies with the network and the moment of measurement. Accessibility, best practices and SEO scores are stable: they depend on how the site is built.
-
Speed is a ranking factor
Google measures how long your pages actually take to appear on a phone. A slow site drops, whatever the quality of its content. I measure every site with Lighthouse, Google's own tool, and publish the results.
-
One search strategy per language
An Arabic version is not a translation laid over the French site. It is its own keyword set, its own tags, a right-to-left reading, and hreflang tags telling Google which version to show to whom. That is what opens an additional market.
-
Local search
Google listing kept current, reviews, consistency between name, address and phone wherever they appear. That is what brings you up when someone searches for your services nearby.
-
Tracking, or nothing
Rankings, visits, enquiries received. A readable report every month, and the corrections that follow. Search is not a delivery, it is upkeep.
The audit before we start
Before doing anything, I measure your site as it stands and hand you the report. You see where you are, and we both have a dated starting point. Free, no commitment.
